AdiIRC on Wine
November 23th, 2012
I did some testing on Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit and wine-1.4.1, AdiIRC seems to work really well as of latest beta.
However I had to follow this guide to make wine install .net on a 64 bit wine.
I also tested wine-1.5.17 beta, which also seems to work great.
Here is a screenshot. :)
Windows 8

For those who are wondering, AdiIRC will work just as good on Windows 8 as any other windows versions, no updates or reinstalling needed :)
Cheers.
miRC Scripting
September 26th, 2012
After a lot of work i'm very happy to announce AdiIRC as of 260912 beta now support mIRC scripts and scripting, many functions, variables and most of the syntax have been aligned to mIRC from the initial AdiIRC scripting.
There is still a lot of work todo before you can use any script, but some of the simpler and popular ones should work.
Previous scripting syntax is still supported, but deprecated and will be removed in the future.
You can check out the implemented events on the Scripting beta Wiki.
Its also possible to edit menus/popups using the same syntax as mIRC. To edit menus go to the menu "Commands" -> "Edit Menus"
Many /commands is also aligned with mIRC commands like /ignore and /ban, a list will be available on the scripting wiki.
If you have any feedback, find a bug or want a specific script to work, please join me on irc.nordicirc.com / #adiirc and highlight "kr0n", or make a ticket at dev.adiirc.com.
Cheers!
